Enjoy "Countrifunked Jazzabilly" in Bethlehem

The Unpronounceable will play at its usual venue, The Funhouse, on Friday.

This weekend, head to The Funhouse for an energetic, foot-tapping folk band that will be playing free music for your ears. The Unpronounceable calls its fun genre of music “countrifunked jazzabilly” because of its blend of classic rock and roll and country.

The band was formed locally in 1999 and played what it called its “last show” in the spring of 2008 at the very same Funhouse bar. The group decided to make a comeback and played a “Big Reunion Show” in 2010. Since 1999, the band has recorded eight albums and toured much of New York, in addition to Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The members of The Unpronounceable are musically versatile, with many of them being able to play more than one instrument. (And on a side note, each member has a nickname that ends with the word “Beefalo”). Pete Gustavson (Jorge Beefalo), Adam Gustavson (Chip Beefalo), and Dan Kinsley (Chet Beefalo) are all able to play the guitar and upright bass, but Pete provides the vocals, Adam provides the banjo, and Dan plays the piano. Drummers Phil Guidi (Chuck Beefalo), Justin Riddle (Charlamagne Beefalo) and Matt Scheller (Chugga Chugga Choo Choo Beefalo) complete the six-member band.
