Vera Cruz Halloween Parade Cancelled for Tonight
Organizers will make decision about whether to hold the parade tomorrow by 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13.

The rain date for the parade is tomorrow, Thurday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. In a posting on the parade’s Facebook event listing, parade organizers said that a final decision about whether the parade will happen on Thursday will be made by 2 p.m. tomorrow at the latest.
Parade chair person Chris Barebo said in an email message about the decision to cancel for tonight: “The forecast does not look good for tomorrow night as another band of rain is due to arrive in the afternoon on Thursday and carry over into Friday.”

Barebo said he will continue to update the Vera Cruz Halloween Parade Facebook event page to keep members of the community current on decisions regarding the parade.
