Upper Milford: Use Common Sense When Trick-or-Treating

Since not everyone in Upper Milford Township has had electric power restored, township officials suggest neighborhoods may want to come together to schedule trick-or-treat on Saturday at at time that makes sense to them.

While Trick-or-Treat in Upper Milford Township is technically scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 3, the township urges residents to use common sense when taking the kids out to collect candy.

Not all of Upper Milford has had electrical service restored since Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on the Lehigh Valley, and as a result Upper Milford residents may want to come together to schedule trick-or-treat at a time that makes sense for them, according to township officials, rather than trying to head out after dark.

For example, a neighborhood may want to come together and decide to trick-or-treat at noon, taking advantage of daylight hours and giving the kids the opportunity to enjoy some Halloween fun, without putting safety at risk.
