Unique Finds: Emmaus Craft Marketplaces

Craft marketplaces feature one-of-a-kind creations

Spring is finally in the air and color is popping up everywhere. Bright bolds, pretty pastels and neutrals are making a comeback.

The unofficial theme of two community craft marketplaces this weekend followed popular opinion, with crafters adding the colors of spring and the theme of the fast-approaching Easter holiday into their work.

The held its Spring Craft Bazaar with 40 unique vendors, while the had a Benedictine Marketplace, with 25 vendors. Both featured excellent crafters with unique ideas, exhibiting everything from jewelry to food to beauty products. Much of what was on display featured one-of-a kind creations, showing off skill and pride in work.

I didn't know the Emmaus Fire Co had a craftshow, is it possible to post this stuff before the event happens, or was it, and I justed miss this one?

Likewise, I didn't even know that either of these events were going on. What a shame to miss out on local events like this.

I think they posted signs on the corner at Fire Co. 1 a week or so before the event was held, but usually it's up to individual organizations to post their upcoming events on the Patch sites. It's free to do so! Spread the word that it's free to post if you know of anyone else planning anything!

If you are interested in a really great craft show, go to the one
on April 15th and April 16th located at 5192 Fox Meadow Drive, Macungie. 25 crafters and ALL very professional. Also a great new catering company called "Smokin Smitty's catering", making food all day to eat at the show or to take home. This is one of the best craft show's in the valley. Lot's of decorative painting, florals, ceramics, gourmet food items, baked goods, (pie's are to die for), quilted items, wood items, candles, kids crafts, jewelry, Easter goodies, candy, and so much more! Friday from 9-7pm and Saturday from 9-3pm.

I am concerned. Emmaus is a part of your constituency and to the best of my knowledge you have notRead More had a Town Hall Meeting or any public meeting in this area. Why? Safety is as important in Lehigh County as in other counties and programs such as this should be made available to everyone.
