Key to Awesomeness:  These 13-year-old boys currently are part of New Jersey Team Izod Sport University, playing on the 12U6th grade, or 2017 graduation year, team. This is a nationally ranked Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team.

In 2010, David was recognized as 1st Team All-New Jersey and Matthew recognized as 2nd Team All-New Jersey. They were also recognized among the top guards in the Adidas Phenom camp in Connecticut in 2010.

This year, Team Izod is 34-3, and has won the Maryland Invitation Tournament, Atlantic City Showcase and the New Jersey State Championship. The team also won against a team from California, Cali Styles, considered the #1 team in the United States. Team Izod will now go to the Division I National Championship in Hampton, Va.

The twins' basketball journey began five years ago, when they started to play basketball with the travel team in the Emmaus Youth Association. This team has been undefeated for the past three years with a record of 65-0.

David and Matthew also started playing with the New Jersey team after a coach from that team saw them playing at a tournament.

Since they will be entering the 7th grade next year, they want to play basketball on the Eyer team. In two years, when the boys go to Emmaus High School, they would like to be a member of the Hornets’ basketball team.
