Ride For Life Event Comes to Penn State-Lehigh Valley

Event is expected to draw thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from the East Coast to the Lehigh Valley for a good cause

Nor is it an . 

That is the sound of thousands of motorcycles getting ready to Ride for Life.

The 25th anniversary Ride for Life, which kicks off Saturday at in Bethlehem, is a ride to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. According to the Ride for Life website, riders have raised nearly $16 million over the past 24 years. 

Saturday's event starts at 1 p.m. and promises a long list of activities, including street performers, scenic rides, a silent auction and a bike show. Saturday night culminates with a private concert for Ride for Life participants by the Bacon Brothers.

Sunday, the party starts with a motorcycle staging at the Penn State-Lehigh Valley campus starting at 8 a.m. The motorcycles will depart at 10 a.m. and ride back to SteelStacks to more events and the closing ceremony.
