Purple People Eater to Attend Masquerade Ball

Upper Milford Fire Company will host benefit for multiple sclerosis.

Editor's Note: Lynette Heminitz, organizer of the MS fundraising event, is the daughter-in-law of Patch contributor Peggy Heminitz.

, 6341 Chestnut St., Zionsville, will be the site of dancing and partying to usher in the Halloween weekend.

It will also be the site of an event to help benefit multiple sclerosis.  The will be held Oct. 29 beginning at 8 p.m., and is sponsored by Lynette Heminitz, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2007.

 “Since I have multiple sclerosis, I thought it would be awesome to host a benefit to raise money for research to find a cure for this debilitating disease while I still can. Please help me reach my goal of $5,000,” she said.

Costumes are preferred, but not mandatory; however, a mask is required. Everyone will unmask at midnight.

The Purple People Eater is scheduled to appear and do some dancing, as well. He is the mascot of the Upper Milford Purple People Eaters MS Walk Team.

Some of the features of the ball include prizes for the best male and female costumes, door prizes every hour, a hot air balloon ride for two raffle, and much more.

All proceeds benefit the national Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Tickets cost $25 each and can be ordered by calling 484-358-5789.  Attendees must be 21 and will need an ID upon entering.
