Where do you live?

"Emmaus. I've lived here my entire life."

Tell us a little about your family.

"I will have been married to my husband for 19 years in September. We have a 15-year-old daughter, Hailey and a 5-year-old son, Eli."

What's your position at Emmaus Moravian Church?

Secretary for five years.

Describe some of your daily responsibilities.

"Being available to whoever calls and whoever comes to the door. I do a lot of tasks for the pastor and director of the church. I also handle a lot of basic administrative duties. It's a very busy job because there are a lot of things that go on with the church that have to be taken care of.

"I don't do the bulletins as of yet, but they'll have me doing them and the newsletter by next month."

What do you like most about living in Emmaus?

What do you like to do for fun?

"We love to go to Iron Pigs games. That's kind of our big family thing in the summer. We already went to one this year. We like to do family gatherings and go to Dorney Park in the summer. We do lots of things at the church. My daughter is a drummer in the band, so we do a lot of band-related things."

Are you doing any exciting events at the in the coming months?

"We are actually doing a diaper drive for the community. There's going to be bassinets and pack 'n plays throughout the community - at the church, the and Active Learning Center.

"The community can drop off diapers (any size) and wipes from May 1 - 27. Our congregation is going to distribute them on June 9 at a 'Family Day' in Bethlehem which is hosted by Esporanzo which is a Spanish-Moravian Church that is starting in Bethlehem."

Is there anything about yourself that others might not know about you?

"I like to read, take pictures, and I have 70 photo albums. I'm slightly neurotic about my photo albums!"

Let's not forget about those delicious Moravian Sugar Cakes! Besides her many duties as the church secretary, Melissa does a lot of volunteer work - including organizing and running the Moravian Sugar Cake/Lovefeast Bun Sale twice a year. Thanks Melissa for ALL that you do (both paid and volunteer)!!
