Lenape Park Site of Second Old-Fashioned Picnic

Old Zionsville UCC will host a community picnic July 30.

Need something to do July 30? Come to for an old-fashioned community picnic and an afternoon of fun.

The picnic, sponsored by , will be held 2-7 p.m., rain or shine. 

“We want people to come out and meet their neighbors and community members,” said Paulette Shankweiler, church member.

Activities include old-fashioned games for all ages. Remember “bean bags” and “horse-shoes?” If not, come and out what they are. A cake-walk with home-made goodies will be held in the afternoon. And door prizes will be given out throughout the day.

The music group “Hodgepodge” will perform from 4-7 p.m. and features a variety of music that appeals to just about everyone.

Of course, there will also be picnic food consisting of hot dogs and hamburgers, french fries, ice cream, birch beer and more. 

Parking and admission are free, just bring your lawn chairs and settle in for a good time.
