Learn What Made Emmaus Emmaus

Family Fun Night at the Emmaus Public Library kicks off on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Ever been curious of how the place we all know as the Borough of Emmaus got to be what it is today?

Then stop by the Emmaus Public Library on Thursday at 7 p.m. for the first Family Fun Night of the Summer 2013. During this unique program, Dr. Bruce Rowell will explain how the ground under Emmaus became the borough. Rowell, who happens to be a geologist, will answer questions like:

  • Was South Mountain always a mountain?
  • What was the library triangle before it was an ice skating rink?
  • Why did the Moravians make a town here?
The free program is open to all ages and does not require advance registration.
