Help Count Feeder Birds

Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center is holding a training on Feb. 1 for Project FeederWatch.

Like birds?

The Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center in Bushkill Township needs you.

The center is looking for volunteers to help with Project FeederWatch, a winter long survey of birds that visit feeders throughout North America. The data helps scientists track movements of winter bird populations and long-term trends in bird distribution and abundance.

Help is needed during February and March, according to a release from the center.

A training day will be held fro 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 1.
