Geologist to Explain What Made August Earthquake Happen

Retired Kutztown University Professor Bruce Rowell will speak at Emmaus Public Library on Wednesday night.

Geologist and retired Kutztown University Professor Bruce Rowell will deliver a talk titled “What Made Our Earth Shake?” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Emmaus Public Library (EPL).

Rowell’s presentation will largely focus on the that shook the East Coast in August as well as other East Coast earthquakes. He is also likely to include a bit about his recent trip to Yellowstone too, according to EPL flyers about his presentation.

Rowell’s talk is intended for adults and mature teens and questions from the audience are encouraged. The asks that those planning to attend the program register at the front desk of the library or by calling 610-965-9284.
