1. Snowblast Winter Festival
Where/When: Emmaus Triangle Park; Friday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5
Why Go:  Thumb your nose at winter and have fun close to home. Plus you can try an "icetini" at the Emmaus Main Street Program Ice Bar on the Triangle.

2. Third Annual EHS Orchestra Coffee House
When/Where: Friday, Feb. 4, 7 p.m.; Emmaus High School Cafeteria
Why Go: Lots of desserts, coffee and hot chocolate cocoa for sale; basket raffles and 15 student-acts including rock bands, folk songs, jazz, and more.

3. Bethlehem Restaurant Week
When/Where: Participating downtown and South Side eateries offering fixed-priced lunches and dinners. Through Saturday, Feb. 5. Reservations recommended.
Why Go: Do you need an excuse to go out and eat? Great prices, great food.


4. Matt Burke and Tom Whitley at Wise Crackers Comedy Club
Where/When: Allentown Ramada Inn on Friday, Feb. 4 and Saturday, Feb. 5, 9 p.m.
Why Go: One of the most promising comedians of his generation Burke has been seen on Comedy Central’s Stand Up and he has also worked as a writer for the Late Show with David Letterman. Whiteley has opened shows for comedian Joe Piscipo and the musical group The Drifters. His rasp-voiced, bug-eyed other self, “The Coach”, outfitted in Knute Rockne-era garb, is said to always score laughs.
