Explore Emmaus History: Preservation Tours Weekend
Emmaus Heritage Alliance is sponsoring weekend tours of local historic landmarks May 19-20.
The 2012 Preservation Tours Weekend in Emmaus, presented by the Emmaus Heritage Alliance, is scheduled for Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20.
The two-day event, which is billed as a “Celebration of America’s Treasures in Emmaus,” kicks off on Saturday, May 19 with the opportunity to tour, free-of-charge, five historic sites in Emmaus, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Plus, there will be a student art show at the Emmaus Public Library on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The history lesson will pick up on Sunday, May 20 with a series of “Town Tours.” From 10 a.m. to noon, would-be history buffs can enjoy a free downtown walking architectural tour. The meeting point to kick off the tour is the Emmaus Moravian Church.
Preservation Weekend will wrap up with the Wunnerfitz Tour – self-guided with $5 Passport Guide – from 1 to 4 p.m.
