Emmaus Patch Residents Support 'No Child Wet Behind'

Diaper drive sponsored by Emmaus Moravian Church to benefit needy families in Bethlehem ends May 27.

As the "No Child Wet Behind" diaper drive sponsored by the Emmaus Moravian Church approaches its final days, Linda Wisser, director of ministry of growth and development, reports that the collection effort has been quite successful so far:

Emmaus is a Caring Community!” Wisser wrote in an email message to Emmaus Patch. “The Moravian Church is asking people for donations of disposable diapers and wipes for a mission day we are doing in June to help moms in need in South Side Bethlehem. And WOW! Emmaus residents are responding! We have collection cradles at the Library, at KNBT Bank on Main Street, and at Active Learning Centers in Emmaus.

"On the first day we set up our collection cradle at the library, one anonymous donor left us four cases of diapers! Our goal is to collect LOADS of diapers...at least 100 packs to give away to moms who need some help. Thanks to our caring community, we are 3/4 of the way there!!!”
