Earth Day Clean-up at Community Park Tomorrow
Emmaus and Upper Milford residents will join forces to clean up Emmaus Patch.
The Emmaus and Upper Milford Joint Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) is sponsoring an Earth Day clean-up tomorrow, rain or shine, at . Emmaus Patch residents are invited to come out and help.
Some highlights of the day include:
- 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Street clean-up activity, which will send groups out to at least 13 locations in the and to clean litter along local roadways.
- 8:30 a.m. to noon – E-Waste recycling at Community Park. All kinds of electronics, batteries, air conditioners, refrigerators, TVs, computers, cell phones, etc., will be accepted. (Some fees apply.)
- 10:30 a.m. – Magnolia tree planting with the Emmaus Shade Tree Commission in the Community Park.
- 11 a.m. – Worm composting demonstration run by .
- 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Rain barrel workshop run by Seven Generations Charter School
A hot dog lunch provided for participants.
