Did You See the Bald Eagle in Emmaus?

An Emmaus Patch reader says she saw a Bald Eagle on Chestnut Street on Saturday morning.

Emmaus Patch reader Lori Bechtel sent us an email about some pretty exciting news that she was hoping could be shared with her friends and neighbors -- she saw a Bald Eagle when she was driving down Chestnut Street on Saturday morning.

Here's what she had to say:

"I wanted to let you and Patch readers in Emmaus know that I saw a Bald Eagle today," Bechtel writes. "I was driving in Emmaus on Chestnut Street at 10 a.m. just before the Liberty Beer Distributer. At first I thought it was a large Redtail Hawk but it was flying very low and the white head and large size gave it away. It was flying parallel to the telephone poles in the parking lot and flew over the the beer distributer building. I pulled into the parking lot but realized it did not stop to perch in the treetops at the railroad tracks. What a wonderful sight. I was wondering if anyone else saw it."

Well, did you see it? If so, let us know in the comments. And, if you managed to snap a picture, by all means email it to jennifer.marangos@patch.com.
