Community Carnival kicks off the Summer Season

Excitement was everywhere at Citizen's Fire Company #2 in Emmaus.

Summer weather is finally here, just in time for Citizen's Fire Company #2's annual Community Carnival to kick off carnival season. Colorful rides and a medley of refreshment stands dominated the landscape. Family was the unofficial theme, as children and parents lined the walkways and spent time together.

Laughter and shrieks came from all over; as children were whisked around on their own caterpillar, took to the skies in their own hot air balloons and helicopters, and played games of skill and chance.

Traditional carnival food was offered with guests snacking on golden funnel cakes, colorful, icy, snow cones, hot dogs, and billowy cotton candy. Live music was played in a tent, and children had the chance to get their faces painted. As dusk set, carnival-goers knew this was a great kick-off to what will hopefully be endless summer fun.
