Will PA Eliminate Property Tax?

Rallies to reopen the government and talks about property tax are among the happenings in the East Penn area on Tuesday.

Tuesday's meeting of the Concerned East Penn Taxpayer's Association will bring in a special speaker to talk about a pair of bills being discussed in the state House and Senate focused on the idea of property tax elimination. He'll discuss the pros and cons of property tax elimination and explore whether property tax elimination in the Commonwealth is a possibility this term.

The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at Fire Company #1, 6th and Broad streets, Emmaus.

Also on Tuesday, the Lehigh Valley chapter of Organizing for Action will call on U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey's office as part of a rally in Allentown urging Congress to reopen the government and resolve the debt limit crisis.
