'Dig Pink' with the Emmaus High School Girls' Volleyball Team

Annual "Dig Pink" charity night at Emmaus High School combines a volleyball game and a fundraiser for breast cancer research.

The Emmaus High School girls volleyball team is hosting its annual "Dig Pink" charity event to raise money for breast cancer research Tuesday, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.

Proceeds from the event go to the Side-Out Foundation, a organization established in 2004 to unite volleyball players and coaches and to have them work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services, according to the Side-Out web site. It was created by a high school volleyball coach from Virginia in honor of his first team and in memory of his mother, who died from breast cancer in 2010.
