The very crowded race for East Penn Board of School Directors is now a little less congested following Tuesday’s primary election that saw eight candidates vying for four open seats on the board. All eight of those candidates were cross-filed as Republicans and Democrats in the primary, which means the top four vote-getters on each party’s ballot will move on to the November election. As a result, incumbent school directors Alan Earnshaw and Rebecca Heid will be on both the Republican and Democratic tickets in November. Chris Donatelli and Garrett Rhoads earned the remaining two Republican slots on the November ballot, while candidates Z.W. Here are the unofficial results from Tuesday’s primary race for Emmaus Borough Council: Emmaus Borough Council members serve a four-year term. But some council candidates in Tuesday's primary are also running for other offices, which leaves questions about who will actually end up on the ballot for council seats in November. Incumbent Winfield Iobst defeated challenger John F. Belin Jr. in Tuesday’s Democratic Primary race for Emmaus mayor, according to unofficial tallies. As things stand right now, on paper, that means Iobst will square off against Republican challenger Julian Stolz in the November election. Stolz was the lone Republican on Tuesday’s primary ballot. However, last week, Stolz endorsed Iobst, saying that he would withdraw his name from the race for mayor as soon as he was legally able to do so. Stolz said he decided to run against the incumbent when he thought Iobst was part of Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Stolz said that he can now endorse the mayor because he believes that Iobst is no longer part of that coalition and fully supports the …

http://t.co/LlcCn1GGjy Something tells me Iobst has nothing to be concerned about from his "challenger" (Btw, Jen, try being a reporter for once in your life and make note that Mr Stolz received 152 fewer votes than Brett Labenburg in a 2-person race for... 3 seats. Over 150 Republican voters in Emmaus intentionally cast no vote for Mr Stolz in both the council race and his laughable mayor's bid.)   more ›
