PHOTOS: Snow Geese Pandemonium

Some still pictures of the hundreds of geese gathered on the farm behind my house today. I wanted to upload some video too, but the file was too big. Sorry!

The pictures are not totally in focus because I was zooming in on them and they were about 1/4 of a mile away.

These are some of the most incredible pictures I've ever seen! Birds on the wing, and close up. You are a great photographer, and thanks for sharing your stellar work.

You are welcome! Keep bringing your eye with the birds to the rest of us! I also photograph birds, butterflies, and nature...so I greatly appreciate your skill.

Mary Anne, you don't often see them south of South mountain, but there were a dozen or so mixed in with the Canadian geese on the Goodman campus, year before last. You are CERTAIN to see them in the fields along the Nor-Bath trail, which is north of the LVIA

I cropped the video down to fit on my blog. What an experience to be underneath all that chaos!

I just looked at your video. Incredible! Yes, what an experience to be underneath all of the birds, and to be able to photo/video this amazing sight...

Did anyone see the flock on Rte 191 Nazareth on Jan 22? There were people out there in white outfits right in the middle of them... trying to find out what was going on with them?

I didn't see the flock on 191, Chris, but I know one thing...I wouldn't be standing in the middle of them with white on...they make a mess when flying over...my deck has still not recovered...ha ha ha ha...

I saw them, Chris. I didn't see the people in white standing in the middle of them. But I did see the gaggle... flock... whatever you call 'em!

The suits were white when they started out...guess what color they became later!

Ha! These looked like special suits... polar? disposable? They were certainly made to blend in or something... not sure.. but they had trucks a trailer and some type of gear, hand truck handles stick up out of the back of one of the pick ups... really curious what they were up to. There were there at 7:20 when I passed and still there at 4:20 on my way home!
