If you’re a high school student facing the PSAT or SAT tests, an AP student wondering what your final exam might be like, or a job-seeker who wants to know what a Miller Analogies test is, visit the Emmaus Public Library’s newest database, the Testing and Educational Reference Center.
Here you’ll find more than 70 practice tests for academic and career purposes, from GED tests to firefighter, accountant, and medical school admission exams, plus many more, including the U.S. Citizenship Test. The Advanced Placement
examination page also includes online study books to increase your chances of
doing well.
Another section of this database is the Academic Skills Question Bank with quizzes on math, reading, science and writing for grades 6-12. Look for this in the High School Tools section.
The newest additions to this database are the Basic Computer Skills tutorials which include Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Word 2010, Microsoft Excel 2010, Microsoft Access 2010, and Microsoft PowerPoint 2010.
This extensive database may be accessed from library or home computers; look for the Testing and Education Reference Center icon on the Library’s webpage, www.emmauspl.org.
Note that you will need your library card number to sign in.
