Do you have any idea what this is? Or, better yet, what it does?

This week's "What is it? Wednesday" photo was taken in a yard in Upper Milford Township. The homeowner isn't quite sure what it is and is wondering if there's anyone out there in Emmaus Patch who can help us to identify what it is.

If you have any thoughts on what it might be or can help put it in context, please tell us in the comments or email jennifer.marangos@patch.com.

Check back on Friday and we'll let you know what we've discovered.

LOL. I was wondering who the first person to post that answer would be. Congrats! It's you...any thoughts on why the pipe is there/what it is for? The kid's there for scale.

Vent for underground utility such as sewer or blowoff valve.

Most likely a "fill" or vent for an under ground fuel tank. Hopefully no longer used. Get a shovel and explore.
