Tell Us About Hard Workers and Cool Jobs in Emmaus Patch

Patch is getting ready for Labor Day with a project to profile local workers and the jobs they do. Tell us who we should interview!

Whether you're working 9 to 5 or making a living with an unusual job you never dreamed you'd be doing, Patch wants to know about the hardest workers and most interesting jobs in Emmaus Patch.

Every Patch across the country is participating in a project called "The Way We Work."

We're looking for local workers to profile. Tell us what makes them special.

  • Their lifelong dedication to one job?
  • Their ability to survive the recession and start their own business?
  • Who is the best boss or best employee you've ever had?

Please share your nominees in the comments section below or send e-mail to Patch Local Editor Jennifer Marangos at jennifer.marangos@patch.com.

We'll publish "The Way We Work" stories on our sites the week of Aug. 27.

People we take for granted. They're out in all kinds of weather, from the hot, humid summer days to the freezing, dark cold wintery weather. Making sure we're able to get around during a snow storm, risking their own lives on icy, snow covered roads, fixing roads in the summer, moving trees that have fallen, etc. I think you should interview the employees of Upper Milford Township Road Crew.

Thanks for your suggestion Paulette. It's a good one! Those "guys" are amazing!

My Dad, Alex Sojtori, is one of the hardest working people I know. He works for the Emmaus Borough. Whether he is blacktopping in 100 degree weather or getting called at 3am in 20 degree weather for a water main break, they can always count on him. God Bless anyone who has to work outside.

I can't forget my husband Jim. He has been driving tractor trailer for over twenty years. People always put truckers down, but I am proud. If it wasn't for his long hours I wouldn't be able to be a stay at home mom.

Thanks, T Edelman, for the shout outs to your dad and husband! They sure do sound like guys who don't shirk from a hard day's work.
