Summer Dates: Very Amusing
Dorney Park is only a stone's throw away, and Six Flags Great Adventure is easily doable as a day trip.
When was the last time you rode a roller coaster without having to keep track of kids?
Consider an outing with your husband, wife or otherwise significant other in the form of a day -- or even better, an evening -- at an amusement park.
Stepping outside your confort zone and into a totally different environment is a great way to get rid of stress...or at least forget about it for a while.
Silly? Sure. Useful: Absolutely. Psychologists say you need time together to make your own memories and concentrate on each other.
Think of it: Maybe he'll win you a stuffed animal. Or maybe you'll share a whole funnel cake only with each other.
It can be done!
Maybe you'll even hit the water park and really forget about all those daily stresses. You still have a short window before the parks close for the season!
Enjoy!

Doable provided you are independently wealthy or don't have kids.

Thanks for reading, Richard! I agree this one could gt a little pricey. What makes a good, reasonably priced evening out for you?

We actually did this one day while the kids were still in school. It was a great time at dorney for us. The lines were short, wasn't crowded.

Good to hear, Kelly! We've never actually done this, but I have friend who did and said it was a blast!
