This was my first year at Seven Generations and I love it! I've met new friends, learned a lot of new things in so many different places.
Hunter holding a caterpillar in a leaf. We do a lot of learning by looking at nature very closely.
Working with Mr. Brandon to build bee hives, we did lots of measuring and math to figure it out.
The bees have finally arrived at Seven Generations! Friends and family were invited to watch, as the bees were carefully placed in their new homes. After learning and preparing so much, it was really exciting!
Every week we checked on the bees and observed what they were doing.
Lehigh students work with us to build models and share info on potential playground ideas for the school.

Special to the Emmaus Patch by Erik White, Seven Generations Charter School Fifth Grade Student

To celebrate the successful completion of the school's second year, Seven Gen fifth-grader, Erik White and his mom Krista White are sharing a collection of photographs taken in Mrs. Alison Panik’s fifth grade class during the 2010-2011 school year. Images include diverse shots of the class’ activities, including visits to local farms, their pollinator community festival and the class in full bee-keeping garb, tending their own bee hives behind the school. All of the photographs were taken by Krista and all of the captions written by Erik, with some editing help from Mrs. Panik.
