Services Announced for Former EYA President

Scott Fichter, 52, died Sept. 15.

 

Scott Fichter, 52, of Emmaus, died Sept. 15 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of SueAnn (Seris) Fichter for the past 23 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Norbert Francis Fichter and Teresa M. (Bonner) Hair. He was a Navy veteran and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Emmaus. Scott graduated from Allentown Central Catholic High School and attended Lehigh Carbon Community College. He was employed at Mack Truck and before that as claims manager at O’Briens Allied Moving & Storage for 16 years. He was past president of Emmaus Youth Association, a member of the Catholic War Vets, Emmaus, girl’s softball coach for the Rotary Team and CWV Dolphins and an Emmaus Halloween Committee volunteer.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Samantha Croix Fichter, and Shannon Cay Fichter; Brothers, Kim Fichter, Tally Hair and Chippie Fichter; Sisters, Kelly Ann Szita, Brigetta Hair; Step-father, Attorney Charles Hair; Step-mother, Dottie Fichter; SueAnn’s parents, Joseph and Dolores (Tesar) Seris; SueAnn’s sister, Kim Ann Wasilow. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Storm.

Services: Memorial Service, 11 a.m., Sat., Sept. 24, Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Sat., Sept. 24 at the funeral home.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for the benefit of Scott and SueAnn’s daughters' educational funds. Checks are to be written to SueAnn Fichter and mailed to the funeral home.

Scott was a great volunteer for Emmaus. He was very dedicated to his daughters and their programs. Scott had accomplished so much with EYA. He will be truly missed.
