Emmaus Police responded to a robbery at Lafayette Ambassador Bank, 402 State Ave., Friday at 5:30 p.m.

At the scene, Sgt. Todd Garloff of the Emmaus Police Department said an undetermined amount of money was taken. 

"I can confirm there was a robbery," Garloff said. "But that's it." Police declined to release any further details.

Police were on the scene until about 7:40 p.m. 

Bank employees were seen quietly leaving the business at about 8 p.m.and also declined to make any comment.

Garloff said further details might be available from Chief David A. Faust on Monday.
