PPL Offering Free Water, Ice to Those Without Power

Customers of PPL Electric Utilities who are still experiencing a power outage due to Hurricane Sandy may receive up to three 10-pound bags of ice and three gallons of water daily.

 

Customers of PPL Electric Utilities who are still experiencing a power outage due to Hurricane Sandy can receive free ice and water from the Emmaus Weis Market, 1220 Chestnut Street, or the Weis Market, 365 South Cedar Crest Boulevard, Allentown. 

PPL customers may receive up to three 10-pound bags of ice and three gallons of water daily. Just identify yourself as a PPL Electric Utilities customer at the time of purchase.

As of 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to PPL's outage map, there are 6,788 customers in Emmaus and 4,759 in Upper Milford Township without power.

If you cannot find a vendor in your area, you may purchase your ice and water supply from any vendor and PPL will reimburse you for up to the daily maximum amount noted above.

PPL Owes it customers more disclosure -- There is no reason the entire town of Emmaus should be without power and not a single person knows why. They should extend us the professional courtesy of a simple explaination.....Substation Problem, not enough transformers, major line down on such and such street or we are still trying to find out why the whole community is in the black....

PPL -- You failed again. Your customers can go days without power, make it a little easier on them with knowledge.

We got a call indicating power was restored at 8:31 pm....they were wrong, we're still in the here in Emmaus
