Stolen: $1,300 in Power Tools From Home Being Built, Police Say

One or more thieves rip away plywood to steal $1,320 in tools, troopers report.

One or more thieves recently skipped Home Depot and Lowe's home improvement stores and chose to do their tool shopping at an Upper Milford Township home under construction instead.

It took some effort to break through a sheet of plywood meant to keep intruders out, but that's what someone did between 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and 5 p.m. Feb. 26, according to state police at Fogelsville. Seems the automatic sliding doors at one of the home centers would have made things easier, but maybe this was closer. And, no credit card required.

Matthew David Spangenberg had his tools at the Kings Highway N. property. Taken were several tools including a Sawzall, circular saw, nail gun and other power tools with a total value of $1,320, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-395-1438.
