Police: Vehicle Sought in Upper Milford Hit and Run

The driver sought crossed the center line, a mirror smashed and the offender drove off, troopers report.

A driver crossed the center line, struck another vehicle, then kept going on Thursday in a hit-and-run accident reported in Upper Milford Township.

According to state police at Fogelsville, a 2008 Lexus was traveling north on Chestnut Street at 8:02 a.m. The other vehicle was heading south on Chestnut and veered into the oncoming travel lane in the area of Elgin Drive.

That other vehicle struck the driver's side mirror of the Lexus, police said. The Lexus driver pulled to the side of the road, but the other driver did not stop at the accident.

No description of the offending vehicle was provided by police.

That driver could face charges of crossing the center line and leaving the scene of an accident.
