Obama's Lead Widens to 11 Points in Pa.

A Philadelphia Inquirer poll shows President Obama has an 11-point lead over Governor Romney

President Barack Obama's lead over Governor Mitt Romney has widened to 11 points in Pennsylvania - indication that the Keystone State might not be a swing state in the 2012 presidential contest.

But a bipartisan team of Philadelphia Inquirer pollsters said it's too early to concede the state to the incumbent.

Former Gov. Rendell said recently that he thinks Pennsylvania is still in play.

But both presidential candidates have pulled TV ads, leaving the airwaves to likely be dominated by statewide races as the Nov. 6 general election approaches.

Obama has a 14-point lead in New Jersey.

If people are wondering how it is that Obama is leading so much, it's becuase they are asking the wrong question. The question is, if Obama is so bad, how can the Republicans not be beating him by miles and miles? The answer to that is simple, no one think Romney is any better and people are tired of being fooled into lousy choices. Romney =Obama=Bush. I voted for Ron Paul in the primary, and I will be voting for Gary Johnson in November. I refuse to WASTE my vote on Romney.

Tom Bennett - If all the voters "wasted" their votes for Gary Johnson, they wouldn't be wasted. Obama and Romney are both tools of the military industrial establishment and the banks. It truly doesn't matter which one is elected. Ron Paul was our only hope for getting out of the eternal war/debt scenario that is a favorite of the defense contractors and the banks who loan the government money to buy war machines. Things will not change until the 25,000 lobbyists are kicked out of Washington for good, PACs are made illegal, and corporations are no longer on par with persons. Have you ever been in a hospital maternity ward and seen a corporation being delivered?

We'll will pay for those senseless votes in the future with more of the same downward spiral in costs living and moral decline. By the way - why would a poll ignore the independenct voters like me. I don't get it?

Be real. Hatred for Obama aside, why would anyone in PA vote for Romney? He's a weak candidate. That's why he's trailing in the polls.

Amend, you nailed it, Romney. Can not win, no one will get. Excited about him when he's the same as the guy we have. They both want national health care, they both support bailouts, both support the NDAA, they both favor big business over small business, they both support more war, more airport scanning, less freedom and a bigger government in all kinds of ways. Talk about a wasted vote. He is it!

Mark, Like you, I do not hide behind a pseudonym. And, I do know where "FORWARD" came from. I read history and encourage the EASD to put more of it back in the curriculum. The problem isn't that dems don't get it. The problem is that the dems have been co-opted by the communists and socialists and refuse to believe they have been fooled.
Kids today graduate from school knowing nothing about the failures of socialism and communism. They are fed the same old lies of utopian do nothing, have everything, socialism while capitalism, the driving force behind America's success, is vilified.

@Ronnie- who's vilifying capitalism in the guise of bring a democrat? What I hear is people discussing the effects of wealth polarization compared to income stagnation. I don't think it's un American or anti capitalistic to ask why those who have the most need advantages to allow them to acquire more while the average worker is being left out of benefit of thise advantages. When did supporting labor become socialist or communist in nature? I guess the vast majority if the US population is a bunch of do nothing layabouts looking for a hand out as they work 40+ hours per week to earn a median yearly salary of about $40,000 while losing collective bargaining, pensions and healthcare benefits...because that's somehow seen as communism.

Thank you Amend! Here is a shout out to the brave folks out there who have the freedom to claim their given names. Lucky for you that you don't earn a living in an institution which exerts the distortions of the Patriot Act (compliments George Bush) and flys in the face of the first amendment. Lucky for you the voicing of your political leanings won't put your job on the line when in conflict of the party leanings of the corporation you work for. Unfortunately, the freedom to reveal my name when voicing my political opinions is not a wise thing to do if I would like to be able to pay my bills next month - best to reinstate the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. What does that say about this United States of America, our Bill of Rights, the Constitution, and the Patriot Act. If you want to scare the daylights out of yourself for the upcoming Halloween season, read all of them. Likely your heart will swell with pride for our US of A, then your hair will stand on end when you read the Patriot Act. With that said, I am an Independent Progressive with a Republican fiscal philosphy and Democratic values. The problem with being what I am, is that largely the Progressives seem fragmented and undefined, Republicans of the day are only so in theory, not deed. And the Democrats are too idealistic. But, I will be taking my PRD keister to the voting polls and casting my vote for President Obama! Largely because, as Joe Biden says, "he has a spine."
