Missing Lower Milford Teen Found in New Jersey

Family of Brody Reidmiller, 17, of Lower Milford reports teen was found in Wildwood, NJ

A Lower Milford family is thanking the community for its support after a missing teen was located late this afternoon in New Jersey.

Brody Reidmiller, 17, of Lower Milford was found in Wildwood, NJ five days after his mother reported him missing to police.

The family released this statement:

"Brody Reidmiller was found safe in Wildwood. His family would like to thank everyone who helped look for him and kept him in their prayers."

Though an argument over the phone precipitated the teen's disappearance, Reidmiller's mother, Gwen Gerhart, says she talked to him at around 1pm on Aug. 15, and he said he would call her back.

Gerhart said he had a small sum of money with him and may have been in the Lehigh Valley. Reidmiller's family looked for him in areas with family significance, and Wildwood was one of the places. Others were Lake Nockamixon in Bucks County, Cape May -- also at the Jersey shore, and Key West, FL.

Oh and I believe she has no sense either . What a crappy thing to say about a missing loved one. Teens are sometimes not as grown up as we believe and make some juvenile decisions, but to just dismiss them is plain ignorant. Grow up Ida.

I hope the police bill him for searching for him, across state lines, I think about 10000 dollars should cover all the agencies involved.... and he has it rough? He is white, male and an American, He has a hat trick life

I am surprised that some people are so closed minded. Since when is it ok for only a "stereotype" person aloud to have a tough life? Until you walk in the shoes of anyone else but yourself ... Don't judge. Keep your opinions to yourself. And as for billing him or his family ... How do you know they are not? I'm sure there may be some consequences.
Being a mother of many aged children and not too bad off ... I am grateful he is back home with his mom and family and only hope that I would have the wonderful support they had if I ever suffered such a scare!

have to nip the trend in the bud, all people his generation (the entitled generation) must know that this kind of behavior can not be tolerated

i too have a 17yr old.and if he ever went missing i would spend every last dime I had to find him...i think every parent would! If we find out it was all a "joy ride" yeah then he should be paying back...Doesn't anyone remember being 17?? I wanted to runaway then too! shame on all of those who are judging him when you don't even know him! I am personally relieved he is safe...

I completely agree with Dan. He's a great kid, and sometimes we all just need to be on our own. His decisions aren't for you to judge.

Give God credit for the outcome of this story. Regardless of Brody's actions the outcome of this story could have been terrible. There are consequences to our actions so I'm sure the authorities and his parents have that under control. I thank God that he is okay. I will continue to pray for Brody and his family. BTW- We all do "stupid" in our lives. I don't think that limits us to production and warehouse work. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :-)

Voice of reason ...
I have a funny feeling that you do not have any children ... But if you do, I have a funny feeling that you are in for a rude awakening.
