Lehigh Valley Police Will Honor Fallen Brother Today
Pennsylvania's fourth police officer killed in the line of duty will be laid to rest today in Plymouth Meeting.
Officers from across the Lehigh Valley will help honor a fallen brother when Brad Fox is laid to rest today in Plymouth Meeting.
You may have noticed flags lowered at local police departments in honor of Fox, who was ambushed, shot and killed when chasing a hit-and-run suspect Thursday. The suspect then killed himself.
Services for Fox will be held at Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church at 3050 Walton Road in Plymouth Meeting, followed by burial at Washington Crossing Veterans Cemetery.
Fox was fatally shot in the head; his K-9 partner Nick suffered a graze wound and is expected to recover.
Fox is one of four Pennsylvania officers killed in the line of duty so far this year, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.
Last year, Officer Robert Lasso of the Freemansburg force was shot and killed responding to a disturbance in the borough. His killer, George Hitcho Jr., was convicted of first-degree murder.
