Labor Day: What's Open and Closed?
Labor Day is a celebration of workers. Many locations are closed in order to observe the day.
Today is Labor Day. It is a federal holiday.
The following locations will be closed:
- East Penn School District schools and offices
- Emmaus Borough Hall government offices
- Upper Milford Township Building government offices
- Emmaus Public Library
- Most banks, but they have the option to remain open.
- Emmaus and Old Zionsville and all U.S. post offices with no mail delivery
- Lehigh County offices and courts
- All Commonwealth of Pennsylvania courts and state offices
- All federal courts and offices
- All PennDOT Driver License and Photo License Centers statewide
- The stock and bond markets
Most malls and retails stores will be open.
