Knit for Charity at St. John's Lutheran Church

Knitters meet monthly at St. John's Lutheran Church in Emmaus

The group Knitting for Charity meets at 9 a.m. on the first Thursday of the month at St. John's Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut Street, Emmaus.

The volunteers knit and crochet chemo caps, prayer shawls, scarves and mittens. No experience is necessary, according to the church's newsletter.

Bring your hooks or needles and yarn or just stop by and see what it's all about. The group meets in the youth room on the church's lower level below the parish hall.

For more information, contact the church at 610-965-9886.

Oh, how I wish I knew how to knit or crochet! I was a recipient of one of those chemo caps and I would love to make them to pay it forward.

I can't speak for this group, but every knitting group I've ever been in they are more than happy to show you how to knit or crochet. All you have to do is ask! God bless!
