How hot is it Where you Are?
The outside thermometer reading at the Emmaus Patch headquarters is 114 degrees.
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch from noon Thursday through 8 p.m. Saturday.
While actual highs will be in the mid to upper 90s, the heat index--which factors in the effect of humidity--could reach 105 on Thursday and 110 on Friday, according to the weather service.
The thermometer reading at the Emmaus Patch office in Upper Milford Township was 114.1 degrees at 11:20 a.m. Thursday.

Patch Reader John Royer says he just used a a glass lab thermometer outside his home in the Borough to take a temperature reading. In the shade at his house, it was 103 degrees F at about 2:45 today.
