Get out: Five Things to do This Weekend

Patch to the rescue! We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time.

 

This week we've got the Civil War, the Beatles, quilts, cars and Cinderella.

1. Historic Bethlehem Dine and Dash

When/Where: Friday, May 20 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., 427 N New St, Bethlehem
Why Go: When else will you have the chance to tour three new Civil War exhibits in one evening. There will be different food, drink and fun at each location.
Pricing: Free for Historic Bethlehem Partnership members. Non-members pay $10. Call

2. A Night of Beatles Music

When/Where: Saturday, May 21, 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Unity of Lehigh Valley Church, 26 N. 3rd St, Emmaus.
Why Go: It’s a night of Beatles music and their tunes are pretty much timeless.
Pricing: $10. Kids under age 12 and under are free.

3. Quilts on the Triangle

When/Where: Sunday, May 22 in Triangle Park, S 4th St & Main St, Emmaus
Why Go: There will be more than 60 quilts of all sizes made by the Crazy Quilters Guild to mark the group’s 20th anniversary. Some will be for sale and there will be a raffle too!
Pricing: FREE.

4. Drag Cars on Exhibit

When/Where: May 20, 21, 22, at America on Wheels Museum, 5 North Front St, Allentown, during normal museum hours.
Why Go: More than a dozen of the fastest quarter-mile speedsters to ever roar across the Lehigh Valley will be on display.
Pricing: Part of regular museum admission.

5. Lucinda in Jam Town a Cinderella Story

When/Where: Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 at the Charles Brown Ice House, 57 River St, Bethlehem.
Why Go: It’s Cinderella with a new twist and it sounds like fun.
Pricing: Call 610-332-1400 for times and ticket information. Times vary by day.
