I like Wes, but I am not going to vote for him since he announced his run for County Commissioner.

He obviously wants to move on and will only stay if he loses there. We need council people dedicated to the position, not using it as a fallback.

Careless,

Can pretty darn well promise you Mr. (Ms?) Bystander wasn't voting for me anyway...but then he just might to get me off the school board!

Sorry Julian you're wrong I have voted for you, even with that smarmy response. Your ideas are solid, if you did the same solid work on your interpersonal skills you'd have much greater success.

I won't though going forward because you're running for other offices.

I think it's great that you feel ready to move on and wish you the best of luck. It's my responsibility as a voter to cast my vote for the best candidate, and part of that definition to me is someone who actually wants the job instead of something else. The district has great challenges and deserves directors who want to be there.

You want Borough Council (you're going to get hosed in the mayoral run and you know it, not sure if that's a good publicity stunt or not), so best of luck to you there.

Interested,

You've been less than complimentary of my record in your various posts on Patch. That said, I thank you for getting involved. We may not always agree, but we both, in our own ways, care greatly about our community.

I"m less than complimentary about 99% of politicians. Darn few do what's best for the community, and rather answer to specific interest groups. That's a problem on both the conservative and liberal sides and Emmaus/East Penn politics is riddled with that problem.

So as voters we get poor choices, and have to make the best of it.
