A major warm-up is expected just in time for the start of summer as temperatures will hover right around the 100-degree mark today and tomorrow, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast for today - the first official day of summer - is sunny with a possible heat index - that's heat plus humidity - of 102.

Thursday is also expected to be sunny and hot with a high near 97. Heat index values on Thursday will be as high as 101.

Emmaus Community Pool is an option for those looking to beat the heat. The pool is open from noon to 8 p.m. through Labor Day.
