Emmaus Man Charged with Sexting Teen Student

Emmaus resident Timothy C. Moll, who teaches at Dieruff High School, was charged with texting sexually explicit messages to a 16-year-old student.

An Emmaus man who teaches at Dieruff High School in Allentown was charged this afternoon with texting sexually explicit messages to a 16-year-old student, according to a press release distributed by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.

Timothy C. Moll, of 556 Evergreen St., was charged with one count each of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor, both third-degree felonies. It is alleged that 25-year-old Moll asked for naked photographs of the student, asked her to talk about sex and promised extra points toward the girl’s grades.

A police investigation began in January, according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by the Allentown police officer assigned to the Special Victims Unit, after a female student was sent to the principal’s office at Dieruff for using a cell phone during class. School officials were told that the student had been receiving “sexts” from a Dieruff teacher.
