Emmaus Jewelry Thief Makes Off with $5,000 in Loot

Several items are taken in burglary, police say.

 

A burglar recently made off with $5,000 worth of jewelry from an Emmaus home, according to borough police Sgt. Charles Palmer.

The thief entered a residence June 12 in the 700 block of Spruce Street and took several items of jewelry, Palmer said.

Other recent Emmaus police incidents have included:

Theft: Reported by a student at Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave.; iPod taken June 1, police said.

Theft: Reported by a contractor June 4; power tools taken from a construction site at 1458 Chestnut St., police said; no value given because all items have not been inventoried.
