Emmaus, Upper Milford Youth Associations Seek Treasurers
Both Emmaus Patch youth associations are in need of volunteers to fill the position of treasurer within their organizations.
It’s a bit of an odd coincidence, but the Emmaus and Upper Milford youth associations have the same “Help Wanted” ad running these days. Both groups are currently in need of a treasurer.
The Emmaus Youth Association (EYA) recently attempted to get the word out about the open position within its organization through a poster at the EYA booth at Emmaus Community Day. The ad for the treasurer position described the job as someone who will help to maintain books, prepare the treasurer report for the group’s monthly meeting and handle banking.
Those interested in the EYA job are asked to contact the EYA president through www.eyanews.org.
The Upper Milford Youth Association (UMYA) is using its Facebook page and its Web site to try to recruit a new treasurer. UMYA President Matt Skekel announced the retirement of the group’s acting treasurer through a recent Facebook post:
“The UMYA treasurer Phil Vanim is stepping down after 20+ years of service to the organization,” Skekel writes on Facebook. “I want to thank him for all the years and time he has spent serving the kids and community. He will truly be missed. That all being said, UMYA will need a new treasurer for the year 2013. If you are interested at all in being the new treasurer for UMYA, please contact me at mskekel@gmail.com.”
