Annual Emmaus Halloween Parade Draws Thousands of Spectators
Clear skies and seasonal temperatures brought out a crowd for the annual Emmaus Halloween Parade on Saturday night.
An estimated 30,000 spectators lined the route for the Emmaus Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 15, stretching from Keystone and Ridge to Chestnut and Main streets.
As has been the case for the past several years, the annual Emmaus Halloween 5K was the opening act along the parade route.
Kathy Mintzer, the Emmaus Halloween Parade Committee Chairperson for the past 15 years, reported that 78 groups had registered to participate in the parade, typical of most years.
"It's like you're the bride," Mintzer joked. "You prepare, you prepare, and then in the blink of an eye it's all over."

Thank you so much to everyone for making this (yet again) a great parade. We have people come from far and wide to enjoy the "home town feel" of Emmaus on this special night. Great job to all the organizers and volunteers to help make it possible.
