There are really no laws, the incidents where charges were filed are no more than getting a moving violation in your vehicle. They need animal laws like the child laws, seems there are more abuse cases against animals than even children.

What do you mean by the statement "they are only animals" Mr Black? Animals are special to so many people and deserve proper treatment. Of course all of us would be upset if it was a person. Are you kidding me? Might you be one of the perpetrators of these insults on animals?

What does this mean? That we can only feel compassion towards our own species? Can you really be so heartless?

How can you even say that, when you have a pet it's not just an animal, they're
part of our hearts and families, I agree with Barbara and Diane, they do deserve

Good point Allan, if anybody does find out who did this, the best thing to do is plaster their names and addresses all over the net. Don't call the cops because then they will not pay for their crimes. Let them call the cops after someone punishes them......if they still can!

Probably not many, because they are expensive. And foxes are not pets, they are little rabid animals that run around and could attack us or our children.

You can't reason with the PETA wackos, tree-huggers, and fanatical vegans. To them, animals are, perversely, more important than people and it makes them "feel good about themselves" to be "better" than us "barbarians" who engage in such "primitive" activities as raising farm animals for food, hunting, and eating meat. They are (choose to be) ignorant of the facts surrounding animal husbandry or wildlife management. They ignore the fact that hunters spend billions of dollars every year on wildlife conservation and are the primary means of support for the overwhelming majority of conservation efforts, government and private.
Wildlife control is necessary for the good of both humans and the wildlife. WIthout sufficient natural enemies, without hunting/trapping, most species will overpopulate to the point where there will be a huge die-off due to starvation and/or disease.
Most of those folks won't "get it" unless/until their pets start disappearing and/or their children are bitten (or worse) by foxes, coyotes, etc. Foxes, coyotes, skunks, groundhogs, cats, and bats are rabies vector species ... and the series of shots required if bitten or scratched by one is NOT pleasant and is very expensive, but necessary since rabies is virtually 100% fatal once contracted. Rabies also spreads more readily when the vector species populations get too large because of insufficient controls, adversely affecting the animal population as well as the human population.

Anyone who caught 11 foxes knew what they were doing because they're not easy to get. If they deliberately disposed of them by the park where they were found, they violated the law regarding disposal of the carcasses. However, it's entirely likely that they were disposed of elsewhere and some other hungry critter (maybe even someone's family dog that they let roam freely) fished them out of the trash or dug them up and dragged them to where they are found.

You want your kids attacked by rabid foxes, coyotes, raccoons, etc.?
They have to be controlled or they overpopulated and starve or disease spreads, thn they look for food (pets, kids, etc.) or because they get rabies.
Hunters/trappers control the population (at no cost to public), and spend huge amounts of money each of dollars a year in license fees that are the primary source of support for wildlife conservation. They also, through organizations such as Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, The Wild Turkey Federation, and many others, donate millions more to wildlife preservation and wild lands preserves.
Wildlife would be scarcer and far worse off without hunters.

Sometimes wonder though if they were foxes or if they claim they were to calm the uproar. I know you would only know what info the police give you, but seen on another site that you would think that the difference could be identified immediatly by someone that is familiar with wildlife, and like I said with most cruelty cases it is nothing more than a fine, so someone getting fined for doing something as disgusting as this would really cause an uproar if they would say they were dogs, which it should. And people would really be dissappointed with the agencies protecting animals, so who knows what to believe.

You're missing my point. I refer to the source - in this case you tell me it is the State police - as reporting incorrect information. It does bother me when anyone reports anything before knowing the truth. This story got a lot of people angry enough to write about shooting, hanging, and killing the people who are guilty of this act.

Foxes are usually trapped and killed also, they fall into the category like racoons and skunks, usually unwanted animals and possible rabies threat. But to have 11 of them at one shot usually don't happen and to drop them at a park, where not only children, but anyone can find them is wrong.

But your right, going on your last sentence they probably won't have mercy because if you report to have one trapped on your property, it is trapped and killed.
