The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Business Council and Public Policy Committee will present Our Time to Lead: A Discussion with State Treasurer Rob McCord about Need for Gender Diversity in the Corporate World on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at the Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel and Conference Center, Bethlehem. The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. and include a light lunch.

More women are earning university degrees than men. Businesses that hire women are more economically successful. Women make 83 percent of all consumer decisions, thus driving not only the national economy, but the global economy. But Pennsylvania has very few women as corporate and political leaders. What can we do to change this and improve not only the business world, but also society as a whole?

Find out by attending this special, one-time event with Treasurer McCord about the importance of women in the workplace and how the state plans to advocate for more female leaders. The event will be moderated by State Representative Jennifer Mann. 

The cost to attend is $25 for Chamber members and $50 for non members.
