East Penn Citizens for Accountability and Transparency...would like to invite you to our next event:
The East Penn School District Budget Town Hall
with School Board Directors Lynn Donches and Julian Stolz
Hosted by The East Penn Citizens for Accountability and Transparency (EPCAT.us)
In our ongoing effort to engage all citizens of the East Penn School District in the operations of our school district, we would like to invite everyone to an open forum on the upcoming budget process for the East Penn School District.
We are holding this public forum so that all members of the community can meet to discuss the upcoming budget process facing our district. We want to gather your opinions on what budgetary issues are jeopardizing our children’s education. Also, we would like your ideas on how we can address the current and future funding challenges East Penn School District faces.
Our goal is to listen and gather proposed solutions to the financial crisis we face so that together we may develop strategies that will help our District maintain an acceptable tax level for the public, while providing an exemplary education for our youth. Your opinions and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged at this event. We will have two sitting EPSD Board Members on hand to listen to your ideas and suggestions.
Topics may include: The impending state pension crisis; EPSD specific budget items; unfunded educational mandates handed down from Harrisburg and Washington DC; the desperate need for real estate tax reform, the restructuring of public school funding; and many more. This is your chance to participate in the process. Please join us as a unified electorate to create a more financially stable school system and a prosperous community!
