Bisbing Helps Muhlenberg Earn Postseason Berth
Senior offensive guard GARRETT BISBING (Emmaus, Pa./Central Catholic) helped the Muhlenberg College football team to a postseason berth in 2012.
Bisbing, a four-year letterwinner, started all 11 games at right guard for Muhlenberg.
He was part of the offensive line that was honored as the team’s offensive MVP in a 61-21 victory over Dickinson. The members of the offensive line were also honored as “Dig Ins,” or unsung contributors, during the Mules’ defeat of crosstown rival Moravian.
The Mules averaged nearly 400 yards and 30 points per game in their best offensive season in four years.
Muhlenberg finished its 2012 campaign with an 8-3 record overall, its best since 2008, and a 7-2 record in the CC, good for second place in the conference behind No. 15 Johns Hopkins. The Mules received a postseason berth to play in the ECAC South Atlantic Bowl, where they fell to Delaware Valley, 24-21.

Garrett is a great "kid". I watched him mature while he played baseball for Emmaus teams. He was always a team player, with a great attitude. It is not a surprise that he has made an impact at Muhlenberg. He and his parents should be very proud!!!
